The purpose of this page is to list significant or publicly placed Steinway grands.  This list will be organized both by the availability of the piano for public viewing (museum site or private ownership), as well as by model, technological and historical importance.   The research for this page is ongoing.  An “incomplete” list will be published soon.  If you have an early Steinway which you could list, you are invited to contact us at the email link provided above.
